Description

Purpose

As an Avelo Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the safe, compliant, on-time, and efficient maintenance of Avelo aircraft at the line maintenance level. This involves coordinating and executing aircraft maintenance, maintaining open communication, and ensuring safety and compliance as Avelo’s first line of defense. The Technician will foster teamwork and leadership aligned with our company’s “Purpose, Vision, and Values”.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain understanding of the maintenance program
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled work loads
  • Assume “ownership” of the aircraft while on duty
  • Maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control, and Pilots
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Structural Repair Manual use and damage assessment
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a ‘Safety Always’ culture
  • Understand FAA regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance planning
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and MEL/CDL procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. for 10 feet
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Potential travel up to 25% for training or deployment
  • Own hand tools meeting company specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Leadership and mentorship abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
X-factors
  • 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, especially with 10+ seat aircraft or at a certificated repair station
  • Experience with Boeing systems courses preferred
  • 737 line maintenance experience preferred

$32-$40 per hour, based on experience
