What to Expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician

From replacing or repairing parts to troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, no two days are the same. Each day offers new experiences and growth opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
  • Remove and install panels and components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
  • De-fuel aircraft.
  • Remove and install engines.
  • Operate ground support equipment.
  • Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
  • Assist with aircraft movement and performance runs.
  • Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic manuals and maintenance databases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. An Airframe and Powerplant License is essential. A valid driver’s license or passport is preferred but not mandatory.

Desired Traits

Self-motivated team players capable of performing under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is necessary. Must adhere to FAA guidelines and safety rules, maintaining customer-oriented habits.
