Qualifications

Job description

The Blackhawk Group is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support our dynamic aircraft maintenance operations in Glendale, AZ. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft structures and systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of aircraft and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair structural issues, including sheet metal repairs and component replacements.
  • Assist in the removal and installation of aircraft panels and components as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to schedules.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and technological developments related to aircraft maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on General Aviation aircraft operations.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws and grinders.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of aircraft types and models, including Cirrus SR Series and Vision Jet, King Air, PC-12, and TBM.
  • Expertise in painting and corrosion control of aluminum parts.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
