About This Role

Aircraft Maintenance Technician I - General Aviation

Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the US without future sponsorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft and components including engines, wings, fuselage, tail, landing gear, control cables, propeller, and fuel system.
  • Ensure all work is inspected and documented according to Repair Station Manuals and Processes.
  • Consult aircraft maintenance manuals and manufacturers' manuals for specifications to determine repair or replacement needs.
  • Proficiently troubleshoot airframe and engine issues and correct problems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Have a basic understanding of avionics systems and troubleshoot at a basic level.
  • Perform scheduled inspections on general aviation aircraft.
  • Perform engine replacements.
  • Taxi and tug aircraft.
  • Adhere to CAE's safety policies, including wearing proper PPE and reporting incidents.
  • Comply with CAE's repair station quality standards; training will be provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A&P Certificate preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environments.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Full set of tools.
  • Garmin experience is preferred.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • High School diploma.
