Job summary

Signature Aviation is seeking a GSE Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair ground support equipment at our Florida location. You will troubleshoot systems, service fluids, and perform diagnostics to ensure reliable operation of aircraft support machinery.

The role requires reading and following manuals, keeping logs, and adhering to safety guidelines. A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1 year experience or equivalent combination.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to pass background checks and drug tests; obtain airport security badge.
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment.
• GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.
• Vocational certification or apprenticeship is a plus.
• ASE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipment.
• Check and service GSE with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluids.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and manuals.
• Build and assemble machines or components per requirements.
• Run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Perform maintenance to maximize reliability.
• Keep logs of work and report issues.
• Complete GSE paperwork as required.
