Job summary

Signature Aviation is seeking a GSE Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair ground support equipment at our facility. You will service fluids, diagnose issues with test gear, and perform overhauls to ensure reliability near aircraft operations.

Ideal applicants have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and either related experience or vocational certification. This full‑time role requires safety focus and teamwork in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus one year experience or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Prior GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
• Valid ASE certification preferred.
• Must pass background checks and obtain an airport security badge.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipment.
• Check and service ground support equipment with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluid.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
• Perform maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to users.
• Keep logs of work and report on issues.
