Job summary

AEG Leasing & Logistics is seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair Ground Support Equipment in Atlanta, GA or Cocoa Beach, FL. This hands-on role focuses on keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready for service.

The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot various systems, and document work orders. Prior aviation or GSE experience is highly valued. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years experience repairing GSE, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, fleet vehicles, or industrial machinery.
• Previous aviation or Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical specs.
• Proficiency using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and standard shop machinery.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair motorized and non-motorized Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering components, suspension, cooling, and starting systems as needed.
• Use tools, meters, scanners, lifts, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Complete work orders documenting inspections, labor, parts, repairs, and equipment status.
• Inspect newly received/returned equipment and recommend repairs as needed.
• Perform safety tests to confirm equipment is ready for service.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations on repair timelines and parts needs.
• Assist with sourcing parts and maintaining inventory records.
