Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Electrician - CH-47) to inspect and maintain aircraft electrical systems and components per manuals and safety directives. Responsibilities include installing wiring, diagnosing faults, repairing avionics, and performing inspections on CH-47 aircraft at the Lexington facility.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, three years aviation maintenance experience (two years rotary wing, two years on the MDS), and be able to obtain necessary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
  • Valid up-to-date A&P and/or FCC license (optional)
  • Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS) within the last six years.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must provide own tools/toolbox.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and performs electrical maintenance on aircraft electrical systems and components.
  • Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs malfunctions in electrical and electronic components.
  • Performs scheduled inspections and assists in special inspections.
  • Requisitions parts and maintains records related to aircraft maintenance.
