Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I (Armament/Electrician) to diagnose, maintain, and repair AH-64D/E armament, electrical and avionics systems. You will perform maintenance, alignments, and troubleshooting on weapons components and fire control units, while keeping detailed records and ensuring safety compliance.

The role requires three years of aviation maintenance experience (two years on rotorcraft) and the ability to obtain a NACI clearance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years aviation maintenance experience, including two years on rotary wing aircraft.
  • U.S. military technical school or specialized training preferred; education level certification required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI public trust clearance; US citizenship for facility access.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, modify, and repair AH-64D/E armament, electrical and avionics systems and components.
  • Perform maintenance, authorized modifications, and alignments on aircraft weapons components and fire control units.
  • Repair and test flight controls, avionics, and related subsystems; maintain records of weapons and subsystems.
  • Disassemble and replace defective parts; perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Maintain PPE, tools, and shop areas; assist other technicians as needed.
