People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists is seeking an Air & Ocean Import Coordinator in Dallas, TX. This hands-on role handles shipments from origin to delivery, requiring strong import knowledge for both air and ocean streams.

You will manage documentation, communicate with customers, and coordinate with overseas partners while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely updates. Salary up to $70,000 with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in international freight forwarding.
• Previous air and ocean import experience is required.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. import process.
• Experience working with international freight documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Manage the full A-Z import process, including shipment tracking and customer updates.
• Prepare and review import documentation, bills of lading, commercial invoices and arrival notices.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, truckers and warehouses.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or operational issues.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, documentation and delivery.
• Obtain and review freight rates and arrange transportation as required.
• Ensure shipments comply with applicable U.S. Customs and import regulations.
• Handle shipment billing and ensure accurate documentation and charges.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors and overseas partners.
