Job summary

Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment in Atlanta, GA seeks a Business Development Manager to own the Air & Ocean freight sales loop. You will identify prospects, develop relationships, and turn conversations into new business across the Atlanta and Southeast region.

You should bring 3+ years in international freight forwarding sales, a strong pricing/negotiation skillset, and a proven ability to win new customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or business development experience within international freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of Air & Ocean Freight.
• Demonstrable experience winning new customers.
• Knowledge of international import/export processes and supply chains.
• A strong understanding of pricing, quoting and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to prospecting and business development.
• Experience working with customers across the Atlanta/Southeast market is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new customers across the Atlanta and Southeast market
• Build relationships with importers, exporters and international shippers
• Identify new opportunities across Air & Ocean Freight
• Manage the full sales process from initial prospecting through to closing
• Understand customer requirements and develop the right freight solution
• Present proposals, negotiate rates and secure new accounts
• Grow newly won business through strong customer relationships
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM activity
• Stay close to market developments, customer requirements and competitive activity
• Deliver against agreed new business and revenue objectives
