RTX’s Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) team in Tucson seeks an ALEGS Section Leader to guide 15–20 engineers, drive performance development, recruit talent, and ensure policy adherence while delivering across cost, schedule, and technical objectives.

You will collaborate with program and functional leadership, act as a technical lead when needed, and balance leadership duties with hands-on engineering guidance to ensure successful program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience with RF/Digital/Analog power subsystem development, including design, analysis, or test.
• Experience leading a technical team (e.g., task leader/IPTL/Engineering Lead).
• Demonstrated direct or dotted-line leadership of personnel.

Responsabilités

• Oversee direct line management: communication, performance management, career development, and staffing.
• Lead a section of 15–20 ALEGS engineers and guide performance and growth.
• Drive performance feedback, development, and onboarding efforts.
• Manage recruiting, resume reviews, interviews, and onboarding.
• Ensure policy compliance and address personnel issues as needed.
• Oversee timecard administration and related admin tasks.
• Foster collaboration across functional, program, and supplier boundaries to drive program execution.
• Lead or contribute as a technical lead or IPTL, dedicating ~15–20% of time to Section Leader duties.
• Collaborate with program and functional leaders to align goals and execution.
• Support department and directorate initiatives and RTX Values and Behaviors.
