Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ invites a Section Leader for the ALEGS group to oversee 15–20 engineers and drive program execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will lead hiring, performance feedback, and career development while collaborating across PM, CE, IPTLs, and functional teams.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, plus a commitment to RTX values and a strong collaboration culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Physics/Math and 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience with RF/Digital/Analog Power subsystem development, analysis, or testing.
• Proven leadership of technical teams (task leader/IPTL/Engineering Lead).
• Direct or dotted-line personnel leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct line management activities including communication and performance management.
• Guide a section of 15–20 ALEGS engineers and support career development.
• Lead recruitment: resume reviews, interviews, onboarding, and compliance.
• Promote collaboration across functional, program, and supplier boundaries.
• Participate as technical lead or execution lead while dedicating 15–20% time to Section Leader duties.
• Collaborate with program/functional leadership to align goals and execution.
