Job summary

RTX is seeking an ALEGS Section Leader in Tucson, AZ. You will oversee a section of 15–20 engineers, guide performance and development, and drive staffing, onboarding, and policy compliance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align staffing with program goals and deliverables.

The role requires leading technical teams and obtaining or possessing a DoD security clearance, with an emphasis on program execution and leadership excellence in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 8 years' prior relevant experience.
• Experience leading a technical team (e.g., IPTL or Engineering Lead).
• Demonstrated direct or dotted-line leadership of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct line management activities including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
• Guide a section of 15 to 20 ALEGS engineers.
• Support section member performance and growth through feedback and development.
• Manage hiring efforts, including resume reviews, interviews, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and address personnel issues.
• Promote collaboration across functional, program, and supplier boundaries for program execution.
