Job summary

RTX is seeking an ALEGS Section Leader in Tucson, AZ to oversee a team of 15–20 engineers, drive cost, schedule, and technical oversight across the product lifecycle, and coordinate with PM, CE, and IPTLs. The role emphasizes leadership, staffing, and collaboration to meet program goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 8+ years of experience with RF/Digital/Analog power subsystems, and must be eligible for DoD clearance. This is an onsite role with relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading a technical team (IPTL/Engineering Lead).
• Experience with RF/Digital/Analog Power subsystems development, analysis and/or test.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct line management, performance management, and career development.
• Guide a section of 15 to 20 ALEGS engineers.
• Support performance feedback and development activities.
• Manage hiring, resumes reviews, interviews, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and address personnel issues as needed.
• Promote collaboration across functions to drive program execution.
• Lead or contribute as technical lead, IPTL, CPTL, CE, or execution lead (15–20% of time).
• Collaborate with program and functional leadership to align goals.
• Support department and directorate-level initiatives.
• Model and drive RTX values and behaviors.
