CEVA Logistics is hiring a Miami-based import shipments coordinator. You will be the main contact between customers, customs brokers, and shipping carriers to ensure smooth imports.

You will handle freight receipts, documentation, tariff checks, and inquiries, while negotiating with customers and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role offers growth in a global logistics environment with strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education does not specify a degree; six months to one year related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Receives freight, documentation and way bills; assesses charges and opens a file for each shipment.
• Negotiates with domestic and foreign customers to resolve problems.
• Examine invoices and shipping manifests for tariff conformance.
• Contact customs officials to release freight and resolve delays.
• Itemizes charges, prepares freight bills, accepts payments and refunds.
• Notifies consignees of delays and provides PODs when requested.
• Examine documents to verify weight/volume conversions.
• Converts currency figures into US or foreign equivalents.
• Calculates duties or tariffs to be paid.
• Correspond with foreign companies.
