Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Import Coordinator - Air to support international air import operations from arrival through final delivery. You will handle documentation, data entry in CargoWise, and coordination with airlines, brokers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include tracking shipments, ensuring compliance, resolving documentation issues, and assisting with peak-period coverage in a 100% on-site environment across U.S. operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics or transportation operations.
• Basic understanding of air import processes and international shipping.
• Experience with CargoWise or similar TMS/forwarding tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air import shipments from pre-arrival through final delivery.
• Process and review import documentation such as invoices and shipping documents.
• Enter and maintain shipment data in CargoWise and other systems.
• Track arrivals, customs clearance, and delivery milestones.
• Communicate with airlines, brokers, trucking providers, warehouses, and internal teams.
• Support compliance with U.S. import requirements.
• Escalate documentation issues as needed.
• Assist with coverage during peak volume periods.
• Maintain accurate shipment records.
