Scan Global Logistics in Jamaica, NY is seeking an Air Import Specialist to manage end-to-end air import operations, coordinating shipments, customs compliance, and documentation to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery. You will work with airlines, forwarders, brokers, and internal teams to control costs, provide excellent customer service, and stay compliant with changing regulations.

Minimum 2 years of Air Import or Freight Forwarding experience required.
CargoWise experience required.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade laws.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end air import operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment movement and documentation.
Prepare and verify import documents for accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, truckers, and vendors to secure rates and on-time delivery.
Oversee customs clearance and duties/taxes payment for regulatory compliance.
Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
