Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Air Export Coordinator to manage shipments from gateway facilities, book cargo space, and coordinate with carriers and airlines. You will ensure compliance with export regulations and prepare essential documents.

You will liaise with customs brokers and service providers, monitor movements, address delays, and maintain accurate data entry and documentation throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain management, international business or related field.
• Freight forwarding or customs brokerage certifications are advantageous.
• 2-3 years in freight forwarding, air export operations or international logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments from gateway facility: booking space, arranging pick-ups, coordinating with carriers and airlines.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and verify air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, export licenses, and other export documents.
• Facilitate customs clearance, file export declarations, and obtain permits or certificates.
• Monitor shipment movement from gateway to destination airport and provide status updates.
• Address transit issues and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as primary client contact for shipment status and documentation requirements.
• Liaise with freight carriers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and service providers.
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers.
• Perform quality checks on packaging, labeling, documentation and shipment data.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in air export operations.
