Job summary

Expeditors Portland is seeking an Air Export professional to support the Manager and Supervisor in handling all aspects of air freight shipments. You will ensure smooth processes, prepare export documentation, and coordinate with airlines and vendors to secure space and favorable rates.

The role emphasizes attention to compliance, timely billing, and accurate data entry while maintaining high levels of customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English required with strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• 2 years of industry-specific qualification or equivalent experience in air export logistics preferred.
• Strong understanding of customer service and documentation for international shipments.
• Pro-active, organized, and able to mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Air Export Manager and Supervisor with daily operations to ensure timely freight movement.
• Prepare international transportation documents and coordinate with vendors.
• Negotiate rates with contracted vendors to secure space and services.
• Ensure accurate client and vendor billing and timely data entry into the operating system.
• Maintain compliance with OPS and external regulations and customer policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet KPIs and monitor shipment reports for customer satisfaction.
