Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking an experienced Air Export Supervisor in Itasca, USA. You will oversee day-to-day air export operations, supervise coordinators, and coordinate with customers and carriers to ensure accurate, timely shipments in line with customer requirements and company policies.

You will manage documentation accuracy, resolve shipment issues, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and high levels of customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, international business or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air export operations, documentation and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Familiarity with TMS/ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of air export coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Monitor and manage the flow of export shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies.
• Communicate with customers, carriers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Resolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages or customs clearance problems.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete, including air waybills and invoices.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations including customs, export controls and hazardous materials.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service.
