The role emphasizes safety, security, and timely processing. You will manage scheduling and workflow for cargo handling, oversee data entry, coordinate with managers, and support sales activities while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment.
• Must have a Port Authority or Airport Authority permit (if applicable) to use ramp side service roads.

Aufgaben

• The work of Agent Cargo includes computer data entry; prepares all flight documents; interfaces with U.S. Customs; prepares all import and export documentation, and accepts/distributes cargo in accordance with applicable air carrier and DOT regulations.
• Compiles lists of customers for use as sales leads.
• Solicits orders or talks with customers to complete sales
• Quotes prices and terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's delivery schedules.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• read and interpret printed instructions; write legibly to complete forms/paperwork as required.
• Ability to work with different levels of management in communicating issues.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Retrieve import/deliver export documents to and from aircraft.
