Job summary

Intermountain Health in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Air Ambulance Pilot to join our rotor wing program at the Wadesboro air base. You will operate under FAA regulations, plan flights, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure rapid, safe patient transport.

This role demands extensive flight hours, instrument proficiency, and sharp decision-making, with a 7x7 schedule, base salary up to $172k, and a $12,000 sign-on bonus. Off-duty housing is provided to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and appropriate category and class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total flight time in a helicopter; 100 hours cross-country; 25 hours at night; 75 instrument hours; 100 hours unaided night flight.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, accounting for weather, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Maintains flight and maintenance logs as required by company and FAA.
• Represents the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
