Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot at the Wadesboro Air Base in North Carolina to lead rotor-wing missions. You will operate under FAA regulations, coordinate with medical teams, and ensure safe, efficient flight operations in a challenging airspace.

The role requires 2,500 helicopter hours, instrument experience, and the ability to pass a 135.293 check ride within 60 days. A 12k sign-on bonus and competitive salary accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (appropriate category and class ratings).
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total flight time in a helicopter; 100 hours cross-country; 25 hours at night; 75 instrument hours; 100 hours unaided night flight.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, accounting for weather, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Maintains accurate flight and maintenance logs as required by FAA and the company.
• Represents the company professionally when interacting with patients, families, and the public.
