Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking an AIM Coordinator to guide the AIM student assistance team, review data, and support staff in identifying and implementing interventions for students in need.

The role involves coordinating AIM meetings with principals, teachers, and parents; maintaining records; and summarizing outcomes to monitor student growth. Preference given to experienced school staff familiar with the community and school context.

Qualifications

• A valid WV Teacher Certification.
• Current employee of Wyoming County Schools.
• Knowledge of the community, school and the enrolled students is critical in this position, therefore, preference to school counselor, administrators, or current faculty at the school will be given.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to AIM student assistance team on facilitating effective AIM meetings, reviewing data, identifying and recommending appropriate interventions for identified students.
• Support principal and classroom teachers to identify and develop appropriate instruction interventions, analyze data to differentiate instruction to meet student needs, and document interventions to determine student growth.
• Assist AIM team members, principals, and parents in understanding student referral.
• Schedule and notify all stakeholders of AIM meetings.
• Maintain the official records and logs of the AIM meetings and outcomes.
• Assist teachers with the preparation of AIM referral forms, as needed
• Facilitate team interaction at the AIM meetings.
• Summarize discussions and decisions.
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
