Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks an AIM (Academic Improvement Mission) Coordinator for Mullens Elementary and Middle School. This contract/hourly extracurricular role supports AIM meetings, reviews student data, and recommends interventions to address identified students’ needs.

The coordinator works with the principal, teachers, and parents to schedule meetings, document outcomes, and summarize decisions. WV Teacher Certification is required; preference given to current Wyoming County Schools

Qualifications

Valid WV Teacher Certification.
Preference to current Wyoming County Schools staff.
Knowledge of the local community and students is critical.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to AIM student assistance team on facilitating effective AIM meetings, reviewing data, identifying and recommending interventions for identified students.
Support principal and classroom teachers to identify and develop appropriate instruction interventions, analyze data to differentiate instruction to meet student needs, and document interventions to determine student growth.
Assist AIM team members, principals, and parents in understanding student referral.
Schedule and notify all stakeholders of AIM meetings.
Maintain the official records and logs of the AIM meetings and outcomes.
Assist teachers with the preparation of AIM referral forms, as needed.
Facilitate team interaction at the AIM meetings.
Summarize discussions and decisions.
Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
