Job summary
Sprout is seeking a seasoned Data Center Hardware Engineer in Garland, TX to support Sales with NVIDIA DGX/HGX systems and hyperscaler gear. You will diagnose hardware configurations, validate InfiniBand/Ethernet fabrics, and ensure each unit passes burn-in and certification while keeping Sales informed with accurate specifications.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in data center hardware engineering or similar
- Direct hands-on experience with NVIDIA AI systems (DGX/HGX)
- Knowledge of InfiniBand fabric (HDR/NDR) and connectors
- Fluency with major OEM servers (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, Lenovo, Cisco)
- Firmware: BIOS, BMC, IPMI, Redfish tooling
- Ability to translate technical constraints for non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Sales and customers on AI hardware configurations
- Perform BIOS, firmware, and BMC audits on inbound AI systems
- Troubleshoot faults across GPU, baseboard, NVLink/NVSwitch, PSU, cooling, and fabric
- Configure and validate InfiniBand and Ethernet fabric and transceivers
- Own configuration and assembly quality for customer orders
- Own burn-in and certification testing and sign-off on units
- Document recurring technical questions into reusable reference material
