Job summary

Wasabi Technologies is seeking an experienced AI Sales Director for the West region. You will lead pursuit of AI/ML customers, drive enterprise deals, and collaborate with marketing and engineering to tailor storage solutions for data-intensive AI workloads.

Responsibilities include building a robust AI sales pipeline, engaging startups and enterprise AI teams, and leveraging partnerships to accelerate growth. The role offers OTE, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology sales experience, preferably in storage/cloud/infrastructure.
• Experience selling into AI/ML companies, data-driven orgs, or high-growth tech startups.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML workflows and modern data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Sell Wasabi to AI/ML-driven organizations and data-intensive companies.
• Identify and engage AI startups, model developers, and enterprise AI teams.
• Leverage alliances to accelerate AI-focused sales and partnerships.
• Align Wasabi value to AI use cases: model training, inference, data lakes, large datasets.
• Lead discovery meetings to understand AI/ML workflows and infra challenges.
• Build customer rapport with AI and data engineering communities.
• Capture storage and performance requirements for large AI workloads.
• Provide consultative advice on storage optimization for AI pipelines.
• Generate free-trial accounts, POCS, and customer wins in AI accounts.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales Ops, and Sales Engineering to tailor AI solutions.
• Use CRM tools to prioritize high-growth AI companies and track activity.
