Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Full Stack Software Engineer for an innovative and growing technology consulting and software development firm in Plano, TX. This full-time, direct-hire hybrid role entails 2 days onsite and collaboration with leadership on modern web, cloud, and AI-enabled solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience across frontend and backend development, React/JS/TS, Node.js, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional full stack development experience.
• Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python.
• Experience deploying cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support full stack software applications using modern web technologies and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that solve real-world operational challenges.
• Integrate APIs, databases, AI-enabled technologies, and third-party services into production applications.
• Deploy, maintain, and improve applications across development, testing, and production environments.
• Contribute to software architecture, documentation, security practices, and development standards.
• Take ownership of projects, proactively identify solutions, and continuously improve processes and system capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and support full stack software applications using modern web technologies and cloud platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with full stack application development
• Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or similar modern development technologies
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting cloud-based applications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable environments
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to improve productivity, problem-solving, and software delivery
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, learn new technologies quickly, and take ownership of projects with minimal oversight
• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience integrating AI-enabled applications, LLM APIs, or automation tools into production software
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG architectures, vector databases, or similar AI frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes is highly preferred
• Startup, consulting, freelance, or founding engineer experience highly valued

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Competitive base salary of up to $150,000/yr (DOE) plus 10% annual bonus annually tied to individual contributions.
