Job summary

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Senior Full Stack AI Engineer for our client, a tech startup building infrastructure for organizations adopting AI at scale. This is a remote, full-time, direct-hire position (EST or CST preferred).

Play a key role in building AI-native products, own features end-to-end, and influence technical decisions. You will develop frontend with React/TypeScript, backend with Python/Rust, and integrate with cloud infrastructure,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Production experience with React.
• Experience developing backend APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Cloud, Kubernetes, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Rust, Go, or another statically typed language a plus.
• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents, and prompt evaluation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end while contributing to technical decisions and product development.
• Build responsive frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Rust.
• Integrate applications with cloud infrastructure.
• Design and maintain databases, integrations, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop AI-powered features involving LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents as needed.
• Monitor and improve application reliability, performance, security, and cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This full-time position offers an annual base salary up to $210k, commensurate with experience.
