Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Director of AI Security to establish and mature the enterprise AI Security program and strategy. You will lead governance, risk management, secure adoption, and regulatory compliance for AI technologies across the company.

You will recruit and manage a high-performing AI security team and partner with executives, Legal, Privacy, and Technology leaders to enable secure innovation. This is a senior on-site leadership role.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in progressive cybersecurity leadership.
• Three+ years designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML.
• Two+ years cloud security configuration and management (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Two+ years AI/ML security in applications.
• Five+ years leading security architecture or engineering teams.
• Demonstrated project management, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, RMF, NIST Privacy Framework, etc.
• Knowledge of CSF, ISO 27001/42001, NIST 800 Series, OWASP GenAI Security Project, etc.
• Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM) (preferred).
• CSSLP (preferred).
• CISSP (required, upon hire).
• CCSP (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise AI Security strategy, governance framework and multi-year roadmap.
• Establish enterprise AI security standards, policies, reference architectures, and secure development requirements for AI technologies.
• Lead AI security risk management including model governance, third-party AI assessments, AI inventory, threat modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and lead the AI Security organization including hiring, mentoring, budgeting, strategic planning, and execution.
• Partner with technology, architecture, engineering, legal, privacy, procurement, and business leaders to securely enable enterprise AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security architecture reviews, secure design approvals, and security assessments for AI initiatives.
• Monitor emerging AI threats, regulatory developments, and industry best practices; adjust strategy accordingly.
• Develop enterprise standards for acceptable AI usage and establish AI model governance processes.
• Define AI security review requirements for all new AI initiatives; build AI risk assessment methodologies.
• Create AI security metrics and executive dashboards; represent Information Security on AI governance committees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Information Security Officer.
