The role requires hands-on engineering across frontend, backend, data, and cloud, plus product judgment and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience: building products with LLMs, retrieval, or related patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery, and performance.
• User-centered practice: direct work with users, designers, and product leaders to improve product decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, and sound technical trade-offs.
• Travel and On-site requirements: up to 50% travel; hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user: understand workflows with users and domain experts to find AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly: create specifications, prototypes, and small releases for evidence.
• Own complete product slices: build coherent verticals across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use; tune only when evidence supports it.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and automated evaluations to prove usefulness, correctness, safety, accessibility.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys to relate adoption to system behavior, latency, and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use: define permission boundaries, secure data handling, checkpoints, graceful degradation, rollback.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, respond to incidents, and improve.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost; use deterministic software when appropriate.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components and patterns while being accountable for their performance.
