EY is looking for an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll work from user conversations to working prototypes, secure services, and production evaluation within Challenger Core.

The role blends speed with accessibility, maintainability, and thoughtful simplifications. You will join Challenger, EY’s program for next-generation services, building reusable tooling, and shaping outcomes across cross-functional teams in a hybrid, on-site and remote

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, APIs, data, and cloud.
• Applied AI experience building products with large language models or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience with automated testing and behavioral evaluation.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, reliability, incident response, and recovery.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft: clear specifications, maintainable code, and thoughtful trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office flexibility.

Responsabilités

• Start with the user: engage with users and domain experts to understand workflows.
• Test assumptions quickly with concise specs and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, and tool use.
• Build an evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys and measure adoption and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permission boundaries and data handling.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor, and recover from incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and components for the platform.
