Job summary

Cozen O'Connor seeks a Legal Engineer - Litigation to design and implement AI-enabled workflows for litigation tasks in a New York setting. You will build prompts, agents, and retrieval pipelines, testing and deploying production-ready solutions with strict governance.

The role requires hands-on AI build experience, familiarity with major AI platforms, and the ability to translate legal needs into technical specifications while ensuring quality and risk controls.

Qualifications

• J.D. preferred but not required; equivalent legal/tech experience is welcome.
• 3–5 years in legal practice, legal tech, or knowledge management with AI/workflow experience.
• Hands-on AI build experience: prompt engineering and workflow/agent development.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and retrieval-augmented generation concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and engineer AI-enabled litigation workflows for document review, discovery, deposition prep, and drafting.
• Test, evaluate, and harden solutions with governance, guardrails, and QA protocols.
• Deploy, maintain, and scale production workflows with updates and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with AI Innovation Attorneys and other stakeholders across the firm.
