Job summary

Cozen O'Connor seeks a Legal Engineer - Transactional to architect and maintain AI-enabled workflows for transactional practice. You will design prompts, agents, and retrieval pipelines, ensuring governance and reliability while collaborating with Innovation Attorney (Transactional) and diverse practice groups.

The role requires hands-on fluency with generative AI platforms and workflow tools, plus sufficient transactional understanding to ensure quality and risk controls.

Qualifications

• J.D. preferred but not required; equivalent substantive legal or legal-technology experience encouraged.
• 3-5 years in transactional practice, legal tech, or comparable professional services with hands-on AI/workflow building experience.
• Hands-on AI build experience—prompt engineering, AI workflow or agent development, and configuring legal AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI workflows across firm-approved platforms for transactional use cases.
• Develop and maintain prompt libraries, retrieval pipelines, clause banks, document templates, and reusable workflow components.
• Translate practice requirements into technical specifications, workflow logic, and structured solutions.
• Where appropriate, use low-code tools and integrations to connect AI workflows to firm systems.
