Job summary

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a Legal Engineer - Transactional to design, build, and maintain AI-enabled workflows for diligence review, agreement drafting, and deal support across the firm's transactional practice.

You will translate business requirements into technical specifications, develop prompt libraries, and ensure governance, confidentiality, and quality standards while collaborating with lawyers and knowledge management teams.

Qualifications

J.D. preferred but not required; candidates with equivalent substantive legal, deal‑support, knowledge‑management, or legal‑tech experience are encouraged.
3–5 years of experience in transactional practice, legal technology, knowledge management, legal operations, or related field with hands‑on work building AI/workflow solutions.
Hands‑on AI build experience—prompt engineering, AI workflow/agent development, and configuring legal AI platforms with familiarity with RAG concepts.

Responsibilities

Build and engineer AI-enabled transactional workflows across firm platforms.
Test, evaluate, and harden solutions with governance and quality controls.
Deploy, maintain, and scale production workflows with updates and monitoring.
Collaborate with lawyers, knowledge management, information services, and vendors to deliver reliable solutions.
