Cozen O’Connor in the United States is building a multidisciplinary Legal AI & Practice Transformation team to rethink how legal services are delivered. The AI Innovation Attorney – Litigation partners with the firm’s litigation practices to identify high-value opportunities to use AI, redesign workflows, and improve how matters are handled.

The role requires a JD with substantial litigation experience and hands-on use of generative AI in legal work.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • At least five years of substantive litigation experience.
  • Deep understanding of litigation workflows and client service demands.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI in legal work.
  • Ability to translate among legal, technical, and business audiences.
  • Strong ownership and follow-through on multiple initiatives.
  • Curious, low-ego mindset with willingness to experiment and learn.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with litigation practices and redesign workflows.
  • Analyze workflows to identify pain points and AI opportunities.
  • Advise lawyers on where AI adds value and where it should not.
  • Assist litigators in live matters by selecting tools and crafting prompts.
  • Lead pilots from problem definition to adoption.
  • Develop AI-enabled capabilities and reusable playbooks.
  • Translate issues across legal, technical, and business audiences.
  • Drive adoption and training of AI solutions.
