Job summary

Empath Lab in New York, NY, is seeking an experienced Institutional Equity Sales professional to join our US team. The role focuses on leveraging buy-side networks to bring AI-powered equity research to leading investment firms.

You will own discussions from engagement to close, build relationships with portfolio managers and analysts, and help shape our institutional go-to-market strategy. Competitive base salary, equity and performance bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in Institutional Equity Sales, Equity Research Sales, Corporate Access or a closely related capital markets role.
• Established relationships with institutional buy-side investors, hedge funds and analysts.
• Strong understanding of equity markets, research workflows and institutional investment processes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage existing relationships with hedge funds, asset managers and other institutional investors to introduce an AI-powered equity research platform.
• Build and deepen relationships with portfolio managers, investment analysts and senior decision-makers across the buy-side.
• Own commercial conversations from initial engagement through product demonstrations, trials, negotiations and closing.
• Develop an understanding of institutional research workflows and identify opportunities where AI adds value.
• Partner with the founding team to refine commercial positioning, sales strategy and market expansion.
• Gather feedback from investment professionals and collaborate with product and AI teams to influence development.
• Represent the business at industry events and investor meetings.
• Help establish and scale a high-performing institutional sales function.
