Job summary

Procore is seeking an Architect, Enterprise Data in Austin, TX to own the end-to-end architecture of the enterprise data platform. This hands-on IC role writes code, builds reference implementations, and delivers self-service tooling for engineers and business teams to act on trusted data.

You will lead AI/ML initiatives, design semantic layers, govern data sources, and guide data integration for mergers and acquisitions while partnering with Security, Legal, and senior leadership to drive

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or software engineering.
• Experience architecting enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Proficiency with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with Fivetran, dbt, Airflow, Census.
• Track record enabling self-service analytics and data adoption.
• Experience leading data integration for M&A.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of Procore's enterprise data platform across ingestion, warehousing, analytics, ML, and reverse ETL.
• Lead the platform AI strategy; build agents and natural-language interfaces for data-driven decisions.
• Build self-service capabilities with a governed semantic layer and certified data sources.
• Create reusable patterns, templates, and golden paths for engineers and analysts.
• Contribute hands-on: write production code and proofs of concept.
• Own data platform strategy for M&A; assess and integrate data landscapes.
• Set standards for data quality, testing, governance, observability, and cost; coordinate with Security and Legal.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Tech, Analytics & Reporting; mentor senior engineers (no direct reports).
