Sequel.io's SF hub seeks a Business Development Representative to generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, warm introductions, and events, guiding prospects toward demos with our Account Executives.

Qualifications

• Hunger to hit and exceed targets.
• Natural rapport-builder who can earn trust quickly with skeptical buyers, by phone, email, or in person.
• High curiosity about the product itself, with a willingness to learn how Sequel compares to competitors in a crowded market.
• Comfort with experimentation and resilience to keep going through rejection.
• Genuine interest in using AI tools day to day and learning new ones as they emerge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Little to no prior experience required, but a fast learner who takes coaching well.

Responsibilities

• Outbound prospecting across cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn outreach, social selling, and multi-threading into target accounts
• Research on accounts and contacts to craft targeted sequences aligned to buyer personas (Marketing, Demand Gen, MOps)
• Warm introductions sourced from Sequel executives, investors, and partners, converted into qualified conversations
• Warmbound lead activation: demo requests, webinar attendees, content downloads, and website engagement signals, qualified using SPICED-aligned discovery
• No-show and warmbound re-engagement through structured call, email, and occasional SMS workflows
• Representing Sequel at industry events and trade shows, prospecting on-site and soliciting product demos
• Demo scheduling and handoff to Account Executives, with clean SPICED discovery notes and CRM hygiene
• Pipeline generation and reporting against weekly and monthly demo booking targets
• Experimentation across messaging, cadences, subject lines, and channels, including AI-assisted testing to improve cold call and cold email results, with learnings documented for the team
