Job summary

Amentum is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to lead JANUS operations within the AI Center of Excellence, ensuring cohesive portfolio management across AI pilots and lighthouse initiatives. The role links business demand, architecture, and governance to deliver on lighthouse criteria and reusable patterns.

The position requires strong communication, cloud experience (Azure preferred), and US Citizenship, with hybrid work supporting collaboration with CTO Office and operating-group spokes.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of AI/data program architecture or enterprise solution delivery with a relevant degree.
• Experience operating an enterprise intake/portfolio system for AI, data, or technology initiatives.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML solution architecture, data pipelines, and platform components.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data, databases, and integration across enterprise systems.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own JANUS operation for COE intake, triage, prioritization, and lifecycle tracking of AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into technical AI solution architectures and reusable patterns.
• Support integration and deployment of GenAI capabilities into workflows.
• Coordinate lighthouse charter execution and surface blockers to leadership.
• Maintain COE decision log and Council package readiness monthly.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers during platform buildout and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Maintain alignment between two-cloud posture (Azure Commercial for COE, Azure Government for customer programs).
