Job summary

Amentum is seeking an AI Solutions Architect — Programs & Delivery to lead the technical execution backbone of the AI Center of Excellence. This hybrid role supports JANUS, lighthouse delivery, and governance across the COE hub and operating-group spokes from the Reston, VA office.

The position requires 5+ years in AI/data program architecture, strong cross-stakeholder collaboration, and cloud familiarity with Azure. US Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of AI/data program architecture or enterprise solution delivery with a relevant degree.
• Experience operating an enterprise intake/portfolio system for AI, data, or technology initiatives.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML solution architecture, data pipelines, and platform components.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable).
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation of JANUS for COE intake, triage, prioritization, and lifecycle tracking of AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into technical AI solution architectures, identifying reusable patterns and components.
• Support the GenAI integration and deployment within enterprise workflows.
• Coordinate with spoke leads on lighthouse charter execution and surface blockers.
• Maintain the COE decision log and Council package readiness monthly.
• Collaborate with vendor Forward Deployed Engineers for platform buildout and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain alignment between AI work and Amentum's two-cloud posture.
