Job summary

Amentum seeks an AI Solutions Architect to lead JANUS operations for the COE, coordinating AI use‑case triage, lighthouse delivery, and governance interfacing across CTO, CIO/EA, and operating spokes.

You will translate business problems into scalable AI architectures, align cloud patterns across Azure and Azure Gov, and drive monthly status packages for leadership reviews. This role requires US citizenship and hybrid work from Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/data program architecture or enterprise delivery with a related bachelor’s degree.
• Experience operating an enterprise AI/portfolio intake system.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML architecture, including data pipelines and integration patterns.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own JANUS operation for COE intake, triage, prioritization, and lifecycle tracking of AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into technical AI solution architectures, identifying reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with AI Governance, Cyber, CIO/EA, Legal, and other liaisons to keep boundary approvals on schedule.
• Maintain COE decision log and Council package readiness on a monthly cadence.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers during platform buildout and ensure pattern documentation.
• Maintain alignment between AI work and the two-cloud posture (Azure for COE, Azure Government for customer programs).
