Job summary

MassMutual seeks an impact-driven Engineering Director to lead the AI Platform Engineering team. You will own people leadership, hiring, and day-to-day execution, partnering with AI and cloud leaders to translate roadmaps into delivery while fostering a high-trust engineering culture.

You will engage in architecture discussions, set coding and operational standards, and advocate for your team's wellbeing, growth, and technical craft across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a people manager of software/infra engineers; 5+ years overall software experience.
• Proven ability to hire, coach and retain strong engineers amid shifting priorities.
• Working knowledge of cloud-native architecture and multi-cloud patterns across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own people leadership for the AI Platform team including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Drive delivery by translating roadmap priorities into sprints and milestones while ensuring high-quality execution.
• Lead architecture discussions and reviews for agent runtime infrastructure, registries, and observability pipelines.
