Job summary

Safe Fleet is seeking a highly technical Engineering Manager to lead AI-powered feature development across our product portfolio. You will combine software excellence with practical AI expertise and hands-on leadership to drive production-ready AI solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will mentor a team of 4–8 engineers, partner with Product Management to translate requirements into plans, and collaborate with security and compliance to ensure responsible AI deployment across multiple

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with strong system design and architecture.
3+ years in engineering leadership, mentoring technical teams.
2+ years hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI applications.
Experience with modern AI platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini or Claude.
Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents and workflow orchestration.
Experience building scalable cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, development and delivery of scalable, production-ready AI features.
Apply Generative AI, ML, DL, and Computer Vision to product challenges.
Develop solutions with LLMs, RAG, AI agents and automation.
Establish reusable AI patterns ensuring performance, security and cost efficiency.
Contribute to technical architecture, prototyping and coding.
