Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead one or more teams, defining technical direction and owning delivery across schedule, cost, scope, and quality. You will champion AI-native SDLC practices while aligning with engineering standards and stakeholder needs.

You will recruit, develop, and coach diverse engineers, manage vendor partnerships, and drive security-focused development across cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Lead multiple software teams and manage distributed resources.
• Implement AI-native tooling and CI/CD workflows.
• Ensure security, compliance (NERC CIP, SOC 1) and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and own delivery across schedule, cost, scope, and quality.
• Partner with Product Management to align roadmaps with stakeholder needs.
• Oversee vendor partnerships, onboarding, and SOW oversight.
• Coach and develop engineers and emerging leaders.
