Job summary

Google is seeking a Hardware Architecture Modeling Engineer to shape AI/ML hardware acceleration. You will model, analyze, and define next-generation Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and contribute to TPU architecture integration within AI/ML systems.

You will collaborate with hardware and software architects to drive co-design, performance optimization, and systematic validation for cutting-edge TPU technology used in Google’s AI workloads.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent practical experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience in any one domain of computer or silicon engineering (e.g., co-design, digital design, architecture).
• Experience programming in C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural and micro architectural models for quantitative analysis.
• Conduct performance and power analyses and evaluate proposals.”
• Contribute to ML workload characterization, benchmarking, and hardware-software co-design.
• Collaborate with hardware design, software, compiler, ML model, and research teams for hardware/software codesign.
• Propose capabilities and next-generation TPUs and chip roadmap; contribute to TPU chip specifications.
