Job summary

RWS is seeking native Malayalam speakers for a short-term, remote freelance evaluation project. You will interact with an AI assistant in Malayalam, translate prompts from English, and assess linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of AI-generated responses.

Flexible schedule and immediate start are available for qualified professionals with linguistics or translation background. The role is short-term (less than a week) with a pay rate of 18 USD per hour.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

• Interacting with an AI assistant in your target language.
• Translating provided prompts from English into your target language and using them to interact with the AI application.
• Evaluating the quality of AI-generated responses according to project guidelines.
• Assessing localization quality, including linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Providing structured evaluations and feedback following the project instructions and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Native-level fluency in Malayalam
• Excellent command of grammar, spelling, linguistic nuances, and cultural context of the target language
• Ability to accurately translate prompts from English into the target language
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Philology, Literature, or a related field, or
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in language-related work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed guidelines
• Ability to independently evaluate AI-generated content and provide consistent quality assessments
• Comfortable working with structured evaluation criteria and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate, objective feedback
