Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an experienced Data Centre Design & Implementation Consultant to join us, supporting customers from initial solution design through to installation and commissioning.

This client-facing role bridges pre-sales, technical design, and delivery across modern data centre environments, including AI and HPC infrastructure, with collaboration across sales, logistics, and delivery teams to ensure technically robust and commercially sound outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data centre layouts and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AI/HPC environments and power/cooling requirements.
• Ability to develop cost models and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
• Experience creating installation-ready documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales engagements by developing technical solutions.
• Design data centre layouts, cabinet placement, cabling strategies, routeways, and infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on power, cooling, and environmental requirements.
• Develop cost models, BoMs, and Statements of Work for proposals.
• Review designs and BoMs to identify risks or gaps.
• Produce installation-ready documentation, including cabling maps and labelling.
• Collaborate with logistics, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support installation and commissioning with technical guidance.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners throughout the project lifecycle.
