This role combines direct people management with hands-on engineering, using Azure and modern software development practices to build secure, production-ready applications.

The right candidate will enjoy leading engineers, delivering AI solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, product and healthcare.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years directly managing engineers.
• Healthcare technology experience including Epic, HL7, FHIR, patient access or revenue cycle workflows.
• Strong hands-on depth with AI/ML solutions in production.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Java, TypeScript or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment and operation of AI-enabled healthcare applications.
• Coach engineers while maintaining hands-on technical contribution.
• Guide architecture decisions across Azure, backend services and healthcare integrations.
• Translate healthcare workflow needs into secure, scalable technical solutions.
• Embed HIPAA requirements and secure engineering practices into development and operations.
• Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and production reliability.
• Lead agile planning and delivery with metrics to improve execution.
• Communicate technical decisions and delivery progress clearly to stakeholders.
